Disha – Front Desk
Disha works at our front desk greeting and assisting our patients daily. She decided to work in the dental field because she enjoys how caring for patients requires the ability to communicate and connect with others. Helping others achieve a beautiful, healthy smile and a better quality of life is one of the most rewarding experiences in the world, and a career in dentistry ensures that you’ll know you’re helping the world day in and day out.
In her personal time, she is a fitness enthusiast going to the gym regularly and enjoys shopping, listening to music and traveling. Be sure to talk with Disha if you also love Italian and Thai cuisine, and share your favorite local restaurants!
Deqa – Dental Assistant
Deqa works as our Dental Assistant, and is originally from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Why the dental field? She enjoys helping patients to maintain their oral health as well as helping to improve their smiles with cosmetic dentistry.
In her personal time, she enjoys walking, hiking, traveling and spending time with her family, along with enjoying food with a little spice. Be sure to ask her to tell you one of her funny jokes!
Zohra – Dental Hygienist
Zoha works as our Dental Hygienist, and is originally from Afghanistan. Why the dental field? “I appreciate the fact that oral health is directly linked to overall health: as my professors used to say “DH is the first line of defense.” We play a major role in preventing not only oral diseases but also systemic conditions such as diabetes, endocarditis and cardiovascular disease.”
In her personal time, she is an avid book lover, loves making bracelets from very small beads, and playing soccer with her boys. She also speaks 6 languages, ask her in person what those languages are when you see her!
Ummay – Dental Technician
Ummay works as our Dental Technician, and is originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Why the dental field? “For me, Dentistry was one of the most difficult fields. I have always been interested in this field but never had the opportunity to join it until now. Dentistry is an amazing profession. It’s not just about teeth, it’s about the human interaction and making a difference for others. It is about helping others to overcome their fears and concerns. The best moments are when patients smile with tears of joy.”
Ummay is a very creative and artistic person, as when she was young, she used to draw murals, do henna and wedding planning/decorations. She also likes volunteering and doing community work.
Courtney – Financial Coordinator
Countney works as our Financial Coordinator, and is originally from Manassas, VA. Why the dental field? “Honestly, I was tired of working retail and wanted a more stable 9-5 M-F type of job and was given the opportunity to learn dentistry and took it. I never thought I would learn so much from the job and grow to love it. I can honestly say I love dental I learn something new every day. There is never a dull moment.”
She loves photography, and enjoys taking photos of nature like flowers and of her nieces and nephews. She also likes to spend lots of time with her nieces and nephews going to new places and being out in nature kayaking, hiking, exploring, fishing, pretty much any activities that are outdoors. And for food, her favorites are anything Italian or Mexican.
