Dr. Kanumilli is proud to announce that she is now a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) Dentist, a recognition that only 6% of general dentists in the United States and Canada have. So what does the FAGD recognition mean for you and your family at Aldie Family & Cosmetic Dentistry?
Earning this designation means Dr. Kanumilli is committed to continuing education (CE) beyond what licensing and education require of a general dentist. In fact, the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship Program is one of the most rigorous continuing education awards offered today.
AGD Fellows must practice new techniques in a classroom setting multiple times every year and complete over 500 credit hours of CE, with over 350 of these credits completed in live courses. In addition, dentists must also pass an exam which is equal in difficulty to board-certification exams for oral healthcare professionals.
The Fellowship Award from the AGD is a testament to Dr. Kanumilli’s long-term dedication to staying current in dentistry through continuing education to offer her patients and their families the best treatments and care for their well-being.
